NEXT MATCH PREVIEW

PETERBOROUGH SPORTS VS DARLINGTON

Date: Saturday 21st March

Kick-off: 3PM

Stadium: PIMS Park, Lincoln Road, PE1 3HA

Peterborough Sports welcome Darlington to PIMS Park in the Enterprise National League North on Saturday afternoon (3pm).

The Turbines enter the fixture off the back of a 0-0 draw at home with Marine on Tuesday evening.

Michael Gash’s side have claimed back-to-back clean sheets having won 2-0 away at Alfreton Town last weekend. The Turbines sit 22nd in the table two points from safety.

Visitors, Darlington, are currently in the play-off places having won 18 and drawn 8 of their matches this season. They most recently won 3-0 at home to Radcliffe.

The reverse fixture back in November saw Darlington run out 5-2 winners, with Luca Miller and Dan Jarvis netting for the Turbines.

Team News

Sam Straughan-Brown and Charlie Hickingbottom remain sidelined with injury. Marcel Oakley was forced off late on in the midweek draw with Marine. Michael Gash said that with four games in two weeks he could manage players minutes.

Management Quotes

Manager Michael Gash said: “Darlington will try to play football. We know how they play and we will be ready to go up against them. They can be a physical side and bring a battle but I’ve seen it in the players in recent games that we’re definitely up for a battle no matter what. The work ethic and heart is all there, it’s just turning the little bits of quality that were lacking and that will get us results.”
